Nikolai is currently in charge of large-scale projects in Kuwait, including the new HQ for the National Bank of Kuwait and the new Kuwait International Airport terminal. He joined the practice in 1993 after completing his studies at the Technische Hochschule Darmstadt and initially worked on the Commerzbank HQ and the World Port Centre. He has subsequently been responsible for a large variety of projects in Europe, US and the Middle East. He is a keen photographer, enjoys the London art scene and often plays tennis in Battersea Park.
