Mark began his career in the UK after earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa. He is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with the Engineering Council UK and brings over 17 years of international experience in electrical engineering, design, and project management. Before joining Foster + Partners in 2014, Mark worked with leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancies in both Dubai and London. His portfolio spans a wide range of sectors including sustainable buildings, commercial, residential, high-rise, education, aviation, leisure, retail, heritage, museums, and data centres. At Foster + Partners, Mark initially provided leadership in electrical systems design, contributing to a wide range of projects with a strong technical focus. In 2024, he transitioned into a Design Management role and now leads a team of Design Managers within the Environmental Engineering Group.
