François joined the practice in 2008 and was made partner in 2015. He currently leads the Marseille Airport extension project, which was the result of an international design competition in 2017. François’ experience includes a wide range of projects, from mixed-use developments, such as La Défense on the outskirts of Paris, to historic urban developments, including the Marseille Vieux Port and La Porte Romaine in the ancient walled city of Nîmes. Following his passion for cultural buildings, he has previously worked on the refurbishment of the Carré d’Art in Nîmes and was part of the team that designed the Narbo Via museum in Narbonne. François is also passionate about the Foster + Partners’ LGBT+ community, and was an integral part of the team that designed and constructed a temporary pop-up pavilion in London’s Soho in 2021.
