Andy Bow is a Senior Partner and Deputy Head of Studio at Foster + Partners. He studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow, where he won numerous awards, including the Glasgow School of Art Newbery Medal. In 2014, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Glasgow for his lifelong contribution to architecture and education. Andy joined Foster + Partners in 1996 and has worked on a wide range of projects. Recent projects include Narbo Via, a museum of Roman antiquities in Narbonne; Ferring Pharmaceuticals A/S, a headquarters on Copenhagen’s waterfront; Battersea Roof Gardens, London; and DJI Sky City, Shenzhen. Andy has always had a keen interest in teaching and inspiring the next generation of architects and designers. He has lectured or been a guest critic in over thirty schools of architecture around the world, most recently at UCLA, SCI-Arc, the University of Innsbruck, Arizona University, Buffalo University, the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, Oslo School of Architecture, Aalborg University, Technical University Delft, IAAC in Barcelona and the Bocconi University in Milan. Andy is currently a Visiting Professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Since 2010, he has been a regular Visiting Professor at Yale University.
