To support continuous development, we offer study leave opportunities to support the completion a qualification, exam or course, in addition to a wide internal offering. Business skills
We offer training courses to improve our employee's business skills. The curriculum focuses on skills such as presenting, negotiating and influencing as well as leadership and management courses.
Through bringing together diverse talent across the practice, our workplace mentoring programme is designed to support our people with their career growth. The programme – which is available to everyone at the practice – is a developmental process in which a trained mentor shares experiences from their professional journey with a mentee through a series of conversations. The mentor/mentee relationship facilitates our people in developing their skills and knowledge while gaining valuable insight, guidance and equipping them with the tools they need to develop.
Professional Practice Academy
The Professional Practice Academy is our formal education route to qualification for architects. The main programme is a fully-funded Part 3 qualification architects in our London studio. However we cover equivalent qualifications across different geographies. In addition, we offer support for certifications that may be relevant to specific roles.

Technical upskilling
The technical design training team provide a comprehensive curriculum of learning for common software including Revit, Rhino, AutoCad and Grasshopper. The team provides regular courses designed to upskill design and specialist teams on their design tool of choice, following Foster + Partners standards, methods and procedures.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
Aside from our formal CPD programme, we support the creative process with motivational talks, inspiring lectures, conferences, language improvement and creative events including life drawing, terrarium building and origami workshops.

Mental Wellbeing
We offer a 24/7 medical advisory service for employees and family members facing critical health situations, providing counselling, lifestyle coaching and referral services through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
