Steven joined the practice in 2011 after completing his studies in Edinburgh and at the Bartlett School of Architecture. Steven has a particular specialism in the design and delivery of mixed-use projects combining workplace, residential, hospitality and retail. This experience has allowed him to successfully lead both Foster + Partner’s architectural and interior design teams on his more recent projects. These include the mixed-use redevelopment of Dogpatch Power Station in San Francisco, and closer to home, the successful planning approval for the Thameside West masterplan including 5,000 homes in Newham. In 2021 Steven oversaw the completion the 68 storey residential tower at South Quay Plaza in London.
