Laura Narvaez Zertuche

Laura is an architect and urban designer, specialised in spatial data science. Since joining Foster + Partners in 2015, she has led people movement and data analytics service streams within the Urban Design and Landscape team. Her work involves evidence-based and research-led design that combines informed decision-making and strategic development of methodologies with their application to urban design and masterplanning. Outside of her role at the practice, Laura is a lecturer at ETH Zurich within the Chair of Cognitive Sciences and has taught, published and lectured internationally. Her work also includes pro-bono projects for Urban AI, an international multi-disciplinary think -tank, where as an advisor she investigates the sustainable uses of artificial intelligence in cities. Laura graduated from Tec de Monterrey, Mexico. She gained a MSc and PhD from the Space Syntax Laboratory at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. When not working, you will most likely find her practicing contemporary dance and Cuban salsa or playing basketball.
