Norman Foster twice honoured

Norman Foster has been awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws LLM by the University of Dundee for his huge array of striking buildings over the past four decades. The laureation address was made by the Dean of Architecture, Professor Graeme Hutton at a ceremony on 20 June. Lord Foster has also become the new patron of the CUBE gallery in Manchester, the Centre for the Urban Built Environment.

I am delighted to receive this Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Dundee. It is also an honour to support Manchesters CUBE Gallery. The space is a much valued resource for an ever growing audience interested in our built environment, and it is with great pleasure that I return to the city in which I grew up, to be a patron.
